In a large pot, add sake and heat on medium. The sake acts as the base instead of water or broth, giving the dish its unique flavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Add the chicken or pork and cook until lightly browned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Add tofu, vegetables, and mushrooms to the pot. Season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Cover with a lid and let it simmer until the vegetables are tender and infused with sake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.
